Ayden Mauro is a Toronto-based emerging artist with over 21 years of experience training in
a wide range of dance styles, including hip hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, tap, acro,
musical theatre, heels, and world dances. She earned her BFA in Dance with Honours from
York University and has since taught at numerous studios, including Tandem Studios and
Oakville Academy for the Arts.
With over five years of teaching experience, Ayden has led classes and drop-ins across the
city at City Dance Corps, Star Dance Centre, and Co.Lab, specializing in ballet,
contemporary, and jazz. As a performer, she has appeared with several companies such as
Cake Cabaret in their debut show Sweet Dreams, and Ismailova Theatre of the Arts,
portraying Billy in The Cuckoo’s Nest and appearing in Love for the Young and Young at
Heart. Most recently, she performed in Forget Me Not at the Paprika Festival.
Ayden has also appeared in several dance videos, including Brooke Stilla’s music video
Over It, and has trained with leading Toronto-based teams such as Footnotes, I.E. Crew, and
MVP Academy. Passionate about global dance cultures, Ayden actively studies styles from
around the world and choreographs for companies, performances, and music videos. She
recently founded her own dance company, dedicated to celebrating and sharing the diversity
of dance within her community.
